Should Internships Be Paid?

I’m not sure when exactly the switch happened, but sometime between when I was in college and now it became much more common for internships to be paid. So is this a good thing that will allow more students to take internships, or is it hurting small businesses who can’t afford the financial burden of interns? Let’s get into the paid vs unpaid debate!
