Thanks for talking about the value of a wedding planner and reiterating why we charge the prices we do! It's a lot of work and I feel like people often don't split that cost up over the months (or sometimes years) that it takes to plan a couple's big day!
But in other news, as a former bride and current planner, I'd love to hear more about your budget, and what aspects you deemed most important fiscally. I can't wait to hear more and see pics! I know your big day is going to be perfect simply because you're marrying the love of your life.
Being older - been there and done that- all I have to say is that I would have better put the money to better use- like a house down paymet. But having tradiitonal Chinese parents ( born in China) it was never my choice to do so. My wedding was all about the appearance to others in the Chinese community members and important Feng Shi infuencers at that time. Good luck and enjoy your nupitals- it does only happen once in a lifetime with the right partner!
I'd like to hear about what was worth the splurge and what was better to do later on. As someone who had her wedding last July, I realized that since we had a nice venue I didn't need to spend as much on decorations and I wish I instead invested in a better photographer and videographer.
Budgeting, please! Anything besides just diy absolutely everything, that gets exhausting and takes some of the fun out of an event for me.
